His grace is all you need. Make no mistake, we are facing spiritual warfare every day, and you must be prepared to face it.
Paul is a prime example of a transformation story. The man who once killed Christians then becomes one that lives out the Gospel the most and suffered immensely himself and is credited for writing half of the New Testament.
Follow and obey Christ and His authority given to you will allow you to face this world fiercely. But always remember that with this authority we use it to build others up, not tear them down, never boasting of ourselves, but only of the Lord.
“We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. And after you have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who remains disobedient. Look at the obvious facts. Those who say they belong to Christ must recognize that we belong to Christ as much as they do. I may seem to be boasting too much about the authority given to us by the Lord. But our authority builds you up; it doesn’t tear you down. So I will not be ashamed of using my authority.”
2 Corinthians 10:3-8 NLT
“If I wanted to boast, I would be no fool in doing so, because I would be telling the truth. But I won’t do it, because I don’t want anyone to give me credit beyond what they can see in my life or hear in my message, even though I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2 Corinthians 12:6-10 NLT
“As the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.””
2 Corinthians 10:17 NLT
